The RUSH Collective was founded in 2018 by musicians who shared an immense admiration for the music of the Rock Hall Of Fame Canadian prog-rock trio. All great works of music are best appreciated in a live setting and their mission is to faithfully perform the works of a legendary/influential band for fellow fans.

Meet The Collective

  • Jeff Langston

Jeff Langston started playing bass at age 16 in Eugene, OR. In 1992 he moved to Boston, MA to study music performance at Berklee College of Music. In 1996 he moved to NYC where met and ended up performing with many wonderful artists including LP and Antony and the Johnsons. Jeff has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe, Australia, and South America. In 2009 he relocated back to the Pacific Northwest, and when not playing with the RUSH Collective, you might find him with Rachel Taylor Brown, Red Bird, Mo Phillips, the Low Bar Chorale and many other regional artists.

  • Andrew Morris

Andrew has been playing drums since he was a boy, mostly in garage bands in high school, college and medical school, doing his darndest to emulate the great drummers of our time - Peart, Bonham, Copeland, etc. While this is his first time playing RUSH music for live audiences, Andrew has been rehearsing these songs since he was a wee lad and feels ecstatic to have found other fantastic musicians who share his love of RUSH and the desire to bring their sound to RUSH fans.

  • Rich Ray

Rich Ray has been a vocalist since he joined his first band with friends in high school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He moved to Portland, Oregon in 2000 and has been steadily active in both original and cover/tribute bands since. For the past 12 years Rich has focused on channeling the vocal stylings of some of his classic rock heroes with Ramble On (Led Zeppelin tribute), Maiden NW (Iron Maiden), Jukebox Heroes (Foreigner), Superunknown (Soundgarden), and now The Rush Collective.

  • Kevin Burkhart

Kevin’s been playing piano and keyboards since before he could solve differential equations. He’s toured all over North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. When not busy contemplating new and interesting integrals, he has been seen playing locally with tributes to Yes, Duran Duran, and with Jennifer Batten and Full Steam.

  • Steve Adams

Steve learned by ear, gleaning riffs off his favorite rock albums. As his skill progressed, he was drawn towards classical guitar, dedicating years of focus on the style. Eventually Steve felt the need to ROCK again, Joining Rich Ray in Ramble On (Led Zeppelin tribute) and briefly joining Crazy Train (Ozzy tribute). He didn’t hesitate to perform the works of another of his guitar heroes, Alex Lifeson, when approached to join TRC. Steve continues to perform solo guitar arrangements of Classic Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Nuevo Flamenco styles for events, festivals, and concert stage.
